Kenosha, WI – May 13, 2019 – New in 2019, Boys & Girls Club of Kenosha will offer summer programming at Roosevelt Park, in partnership with the City of Kenosha Parks Alliance and funding from the City of Kenosha. The program is free and open to kids in kindergarten through 5th grade (must be at least 6 years old). The site will be open Monday through Friday from 12 – 5:30pm from June 24th – August 9th.
Summer activities for kids at Roosevelt Park will include arts and crafts, movies, sports, games, educational activities and more. A free and nutritious lunch is included daily for each attendee.
Several community organizations will contribute to enrichment programming at Roosevelt Park throughout the summer. The YMCA will offer swimming lessons, the Kenosha Kingfish will conduct two baseball clinics, members will go on a field trip to the Kenosha Tall Ships, the Carthage College music department will conduct music lessons, and the Kenosha Public Library Bookmobile will be on site every Monday.
