Kenosha, WI – April 4, 2019 – The Leprechaun & Lederhosen .1K Beer Run presented by Heating & Cooling Solutions held at the Petrifying Springs Biergarten (A Kenosha County park) over St. Patrick’s Day weekend raised over $12,000 for the Boys & Girls Club of Kenosha.
About 430 people participated in the grueling 100 meter course, which featured Irish decorations, a hydration station where participants hydrated with Miller Lite, and first and last place awards at the end of the race.
“The turn out and the atmosphere at the Biergarten was great all weekend long,” said Biergarten owner, Mike Grab. “We’re so happy with the event and are already brainstorming some new ideas and improvements for next year’s 0.1K.”
Funds from this event will support the rapidly growing after school program at the Club for youth and teens. Programming includes homework help, art, gym time, games, and more.
Kenosha County Parks, Petrifying Springs Biergarten and Boys & Girls Club of Kenosha will team up again on September 14th to put on the 2nd Glow in the Garten 3K Fun Run/Walk, a family friendly, glow in the dark themed race.
