Mascot Unveiled at Dennis Bedford’s Reception, Named After Bedford
Kenosha, WI – July 19, 2017 – On Wednesday evening, a mascot for the Boys & Girls Club of Kenosha was unveiled at Dennis Bedford’s Celebration and Appreciation Reception. The mascot is a blue dog, named “Dennis the Dog,” after Bedford.
Dennis the Dog wears green gym shoes and a striped t-shirt featuring the Boys & Girls Club of Kenosha logo.
“We know the tremendous impact Dennis made in our community and we’re thrilled to honor his legacy in this creative way for our kids,” said BGCK CEO, Jake McGhee. “Even though Dennis is moving on to a new chapter in his life, Dennis (or Denny) will continue to make a positive impact on kids in our community.”
The Club intends to use the mascot to engage with members on special occasions, to appear at special events and to serve as an overall club brand ambassador in the community. A graphical mascot was also created, to be used in Troha Youth Center and BGC Sports marketing collateral.
The Boys & Girls Club of Kenosha is a youth guidance organization dedicated to promoting health, social, educational, vocational, cultural, character and leadership development.
