Kenosha, WI – June 4, 2018 – Beginning Thursday, June 14th, summer programming will begin at the Boys & Girls Club of Kenosha. Offerings include Be Great: Participate at Lincoln Park, AM Adventure and Summer Quest Camp in the Troha Youth Center, the Teen Center and the Summer Youth Employment Program.
Be Great: Participate at Lincoln Park will be open Monday through Friday from 12pm – 6pm for kids ages 6 – 18 at the Oribiletti Center. Free lunch will be served daily. Activities will include art, movies, kickball, basketball, music, computer games and more! This program runs from June 18th – August 24th and will be closed July 4th. To sign up, parents should fill out the registration form when they bring their child to the first day of the program.
The Troha Youth Center will be open from 7am – 5pm Monday through Friday, offering AM Adventure and Summer Quest Camp to kids ages 6 – 12. AM Adventure is open from 7am – 12pm and is $60/week or $16/day per child. The Youth Center will then be open from 12pm – 5pm for Summer Quest Camp. Camp is available to all kids with a current membership. The Youth Center summer programming is available from June 14th – August 24th.
The Teen Center for members ages 13 – 18 will be open from 12pm – 5pm Monday through Friday. Free lunch will be served daily for youth and teens from 12pm – 1:30pm.
The Summer Youth Employment Program is also underway, connecting over 200 students to 40+ unique job sites. At-risk youth attend career workshops, are tutored, mentored and receive hands-on work experience. The goal of the program is to have participants obtain unsubsidized employment during or upon completion of the program.
