The Boys & Girls Club of Kenosha will host its first ever Teen Center Career Fair on January 24th. The event will take place from 5:15 – 6:15pm in the Teen Center at the Club. The fair is open to all teen members (ages 13 – 18) seeking career exploration.
Director of Teen Services, Kharis Gordon, came up with the idea to host the fair and has spearheaded the planning. “The BGCK has an amazing board that truly cares about the kids and I thought this would be a great opportunity for our board members to interact and invest in our Club members in a unique way that has never been done before,” said Gordon.
More than 15 different companies and organizations will be represented at the fair. Organizations will be divided in to industries. Teens will visit stations in small groups and have the opportunity to ask questions to the representatives in attendance.
“At the BGCK we are committed to providing a path to great futures for our youth and teen members. We’re lucky to be in a business community that shares that vision and we thank them for supporting our next great leaders in Kenosha.”
